    About

Welcome to Hopkinsville!

Friends, Fun, and a Whole Lot More

The Hopkinsville-Christian County Newcomers’ Club is a fun way to connect with your new home and form lasting friendships through:

    * Monthly luncheon meetings * Engaging Speakers * Day and evening interest groups  *

Luncheon meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at various locations.

YOU determine your level of involvement in the meetings and interest groups. Work full-time? Many members join us on their lunch hour or concentrate on the interest group activities. Are you returning to Hopkinsville after being away for a while?  Please join us and reacquaint yourself with this area.

Community Outreach:  Each month, we select a local group/organization to help. Members are asked to donate items, by bringing them to the monthly luncheon. Additionally, money is raised through our 50/50 drawings at each luncheon meeting. This money is distributed to charities selected by membership at the end of the year.

For anyone who would like to donate to our cause, thank you for your consideration. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. Please contact us if you feel led to do so.

We would like to say a big thanks to Planters Bank for their support and sponsorship.

About Us

About Us

Back in 1976, two women, unaware of the other, moved to town. Not only did they not know each other, but they didn’t know anyone in their new city. They were clueless as to where to find a good hair stylist or the best restaurant, or even a new friend.

Fortunately, a local banker introduced them to one another and they became instant friends and went about establishing the Hopkinsville Newcomers’ Club so that others who moved into the area would not feel the isolation. The Club is still going strong today.

Many women like them move to Hopkinsville and Christian County every month; making a new home in a new city. That’s where Newcomers’ comes in. The goal is to provide a fun way for people to meet and feel connected in this area. Through our luncheon meetings or subgroup get-togethers, you’ll feel at home before the last moving box is unpacked!

If the casual fun of Newcomers’ Club interests you, we encourage you to contact us. We’ll answer any questions you may have and make sure you’re invited to our next meeting.

Sincerely,

The Hopkinsville Newcomers’ Club

"Newcomers and Neighbors has been a great find for me. I love the different interest groups and the friendliness and camaraderie of the members. Thank you for welcoming me to Hoptown!"
